Road Signs in Spain


The car rental alone was a lesson as well as a slightly stressful situation, but it was nothing compared to actually driving. We were on our 4-hour road trip with no prior experience driving in Spain. One of the first “road bumps” we came across was the traffic signs. The road signs in Spain are not the same as we are accustomed to. Though we researched the meanings of must road sign as we went, it was comical to brainstorm what we thought these signs were stating. Here are some examples. See if you can guess them correctly. Hit the Ground Running

The planning for this trip started even before I (Mariah) arrived in Spain. It was necessary to plan that far in advance because it was to happen on my first weekend in Spain. Talk about hitting the ground running! This first trip was a mixture of lessons learned and stress, all mixed up with a great time with friends.  Actually, that sounds a lot like life in general. Ultimately the trip was a wonderful experience!

Day of the Dead, Madrid

Day of the Dead is a holiday that originated in Mexico which occurs from October 31-November 2 (or so).  During this holiday friends and family members are remembered and honored. While I am no expert, and I have not celebrated the holiday myself, I looked forward to partaking in the Day of the Dead festivities while in Spain.
